If you are at this point of reading about Helium Miners then you already know something about the Helium Network. When I ordered my Bobcat, Helium Network Tokens HNT were worth £25 to £30 each.
At the time of writing this they are around £4 each !

The facts stand that if you can setup your miner so that it earns HNT, uses very little energy and takes up little maintenance time, then over a period it will pay for itself and provide a good form of Passive Income.
During the second quarter of 2022 Helium have been doing updates to the network to include 5G connectivity. There has been issues with stability, earnings and connections. I have had days of zero activity and the same has been reported on forums for many people. I have performed numerous reboots, re-syncs and resets, sometimes this helps but I think it is more about the network than the device.

Troubleshooting Issues
From watching forums and groups there seems to be a steady flow of issues with devices not earning rewards, not witnessing beacons and struggling with no activity.
Here are a few tips to try:
1. Don't automatically think it is your setup. Wait a few days to see if activity commences.
2. If there is still no earnings or activity. Have a look on Hotspotty Webpage and search for your hotspots there is a lot of information given here to help diagnose any problems.
3. Access your Miner's IP Address from a computer or smart phone or tablet's browser. Choose Reset Miner. Your device will reset and re-sync and this often fixes any connection issues.
4. Access your Miner by bluetooth and your App. See if is connected to your internet. Create a diagnostics report and send it to Helium via the App.
5. Check your aerial cable.
6. If you are using any boosters or splitters for your aerial. Try removing those and Reset the Miner. If this fixes the issue then there is a problem with these devices.

Helium's latest updates have seen Rural Locations doing better. Hotspots are searching for beacons more times in a 24 hour period.
Negatives
Helium's latest update has seen City Locations with numerous hotspots earning less. Potentially down to an overcrowding of Miners. Helium want to expand their networks so perhaps moving the hotspots to a more rural location will help.
